Tabla

Tabla at Just Friends 50“The tabla is a popular Indian percussion instrument used in Hindustani classical music and in popular and devotional music of the Indian subcontinent. The instrument consists of a pair of hand drums of contrasting sizes and timbres. The term ‘tabla is derived from an Arabic word, tabl, which simply means “drum.” (source: Wiki)

I’ve been learning to play this instrument since I was 6. It’s a source of stress relief now, and a way for me to connect to a larger non-technical audience.
